[Case Study] Vibration Control Measures for Desk Vibration Caused by Ceiling-Mounted Air Conditioning Indoor Units

Significant vibration reduction effect due to the change to spring vibration isolation! The issue has been resolved without taking measures against the desk.

We would like to introduce a case study on measures taken to address perceptible vibrations caused by the operation of a ceiling-mounted air conditioning indoor unit. In an existing 12th-floor clinic, perceptible vibrations were occurring on the examination room desk due to the operation of the ceiling-mounted air conditioning indoor unit below. In response to these vibrations, a measure was implemented to replace the existing vibration-damping rubber of the air conditioning unit with a higher-performance spring vibration isolation system, resulting in a reduction of desk vibrations. [Case Summary] ■ Key Point of the Measure: Significant vibration reduction effect achieved by switching to spring vibration isolation ■ Cause: The existing rubber hangers provided little to no vibration isolation, and the design of the examination room desk made it prone to shaking ■ Measure: Replacement with spring vibration isolation ■ Effect: Vibrations were reduced to the point where no further measures were needed on the desk side, and the building owner was very satisfied with the results. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Case Study] Measures for Solid Noise (Noise) from Air Conditioner Outdoor Units

Proposal to replace with a spring vibration isolation device! Introducing case studies on solid noise countermeasures for air conditioning outdoor units.

We would like to introduce a case study on measures to address solid noise (noise) from air conditioning outdoor units. An air conditioning outdoor unit installed on the rooftop of an office building was generating solid noise on the floor directly below when it entered defrost mode. Although the outdoor unit was equipped with rubber pads for vibration isolation, the performance of the rubber pads was insufficient, allowing vibrations from the outdoor unit to be transmitted to the building structure, causing solid noise on the floor below. As a countermeasure, we proposed replacing it with a spring vibration isolation device. [Case Overview] ■ Key Point of the Countermeasure: Issues arise during special operation ■ Cause: Solid noise occurs because the compressor speed built into the outdoor unit increases during defrost mode ■ Countermeasure: Replacement with a spring vibration isolation device *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Vibration control measures for presses and hammers

With our viscous dampers providing direct support, it is possible to reduce costs and construction time!

We would like to introduce our "Vibration Control Measures for Presses and Hammers." Presses and forging hammers used in metal forming generate significant kinetic energy, part of which is dissipated into the ground, resulting in high vibration levels. In presses, vibrations are primarily generated by the instantaneous release of stress occurring in the press frame during the metal forming process. By utilizing our viscous damper "VISCODAMPER built-in coil spring type vibration isolation device" for direct support, it is possible to reduce the foundation, thereby cutting costs and construction time. 【Features】 ■ Reduction of heavy foundation blocks enables savings in construction time and costs. ■ Vibration-sensitive equipment can be installed adjacent, improving production efficiency. ■ Compared to conventional methods, vibration reduction is achieved by at least 80% for hammers and 90% for presses. ■ The viscous damper contributes to improved machine stability and vibration isolation effectiveness. ■ Level adjustments for presses and hammers due to foundation settlement or tilt are made easy. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
